ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni awards several prizes each year, some of which jointly with the SAE (Société des Amis de l'ISAE et de l'ENSTA) to ISAE-SUPAERO students in the last year of the Engineer or Master course / Specialized Master®.

The purpose of this prize is to reward a final year engineer student of the ISAE-SUPAERO engineering course for his practical achievements (project) during his schooling and the various internships carried out, following the wishes of our comrade Maurice MAYOUX* (S 1924).

The goal is to demonstrate the use of the knowledge acquired at the Institute in the exercise of one of the different facets of the engineering profession, the achievements (projects) being judged on their usefulness for the industry (or services) and should present a positive economic balance.

* Maurice MAYOUX (ARTS & MÉTIERS Cluny 1920 - SUPAERO 1924), who died on September 4, 1997, named the SUPAERO Association in his will as the beneficiary of the income from part of his property by asking that it be allocated to the awarding of a prize in favor of deserving SUPAERO engineering students at the end of their last year of studies. The SUPAERO Association, now ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni, therefore decided to create the Mayoux-Dauriac Aeronautic prize; Note that there is a Mayoux-Dauriac ARTS & MÉTIERS prize which rewards each year a second year student from each ARTS & MÉTIERS campus "for his knowledge of the French language and the use he makes of it in his reports written and oral, whether literary, mathematical or scientific ". The name of his wife, Jeanne Dauriac, is associated with these awards.

ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni and SAE (Société des Amis de l'ISAE et de l'ENSTA) have teamed since 2018 to jointly  award prizes intended to reward 3rd year students graduating from the ISAE-SUPAERO engineering course, and since 2020 for students receiving their Master or Specialized Master® degree from ISAE-SUPAERO.

For the Engineers: these prizes will be awarded to students who have demonstrated a particular motivation during their studies and who have achieved practical achievements during their studies and the various internships carried out in one of the five award-winning fields;

  • passion for aeronautical constructions,

  • passion for space,

  • academic excellence,

  • civic engagement,

  • sustainable development or energy saving.

The goal is to demonstrate the use of knowledges acquired at the Institute in the exercise of one of the different facets of the engineering profession in the field of excellence considered, the achievements (projects) being judged on their realism and on the utility for the aerospace community.

For Masters and Specialized Masters®, the prizes are intended to reward students who have demonstrated, before and of course during their time in training at ISAE-SUPAERO, a particular motivation and who have achieved convincing achievements.

There is no particular theme for the attribution of these prizes which may concern any subject related to the fields of aeronautics, space or relating to any other discipline present in the teachings of the Masters and Specialized Masters® of the Institute. However, each candidate will have to identify an area of excellence for which he expresses a particular motivation and for which he applies for the award of a prize.

These prizes are awarded by appreciating the personal motivation, the efforts made, the contribution to the increase of theoretical and experimental knowledge in the field towards which the desire for excellence and the passion will have guided the candidate. The tangible elements that are appreciated can be broad and diverse, such as academic results, scientific publications, industrial or personal projects without particular limitation.

This prize was created in memory of Paul Alain Lamy, a SUPAERO graduate in 1995, who died prematurely in 2002; it has been funded since 2005 by his partner and friend Florent Moïse and his wife Andréa and presented in their name by a member of the governance of ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni during the graduation ceremony.

It is intended to reward a 3rd year engineering student of the SUPAERO engineering course who, during his time at ISAE-SUPAERO, has demonstrated motivation and curiosity for the business world beyond its technical components as Paul Alain Lamy had, thus perpetuating the dynamic that Paul Alain Lamy had instilled in his SUPAERO 1995 class.

There is no call for applications for this prize, the winner being chosen by the governance of ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni in conjunction with the teaching staff of the engineering course, including a member of the SUPAERO 1995 class who knew Paul Alain Lamy well, and submitted for the approval of Florent and Andréa Moïse.
