IESF Occitanie - Toulouse : It's Sporting to be an Engineer!

Event organized by Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France, Wednesday October 18, 2023 from 7pm to 9pm.

IESF Occitanie-Toulouse (Ingénieurs et Scientifiques de France) is pleased to invite you to this event, to be held on Wednesday at the Stade Ernest Wallon from 7pm to 9pm.

The central theme of the evening will be the keys to a successful dual project: reconciling top-level sport with the ambition of becoming an engineer.

We are honored to count among our speakers accomplished athletes, renowned engineers, sports science experts, heads of sports training centers, members of engineering school management, and human resources managers, who will share their experiences, difficulties and successes in pursuing both a sports career and scientific studies, and in pursuing a professional career.

Here are some of our speakers:

- Mr Hervé Lecomte (former rugby player, engineer and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Stade Toulousain),

- Mr Luigi Esposito (former rugby player and active engineer),

- Mr Nicolas Fleury (Street Trial MTB World Champion and Engineer)

- Ms Valérie Vischi (Director of the Stade Toulousain Training Center),

- Mr Bertrand Raquet (Director of INSA Toulouse)

- An INP personality

- Ms. Marine Colledani (Human Resources Director, SEGULA Technologies)

- Ms Patricia Jean and Mr Jean-Mathieu Chabbert (Thales Human Resources Managers)

- A video message from Dominique Faure (former tennis player and engineer), Minister Delegate in charge of Territorial Collectivities.

- ....

During this evening, we will discuss several fundamentals:

1/ What is a top-level athlete?

2/ What is a career path: top-level sport and engineering or scientific studies?

3/ In the workplace: what role can top-level sportsmen and women engineers and scientists play?

We will discuss :

Is there a real desire to pursue a career in top-level sport, engineering or scientific studies?

Are companies really interested in recruiting top-level athletes?

This event promises to be a unique opportunity for inspiration for all those interested in balancing high-level sport and engineering studies/careers. You'll have the opportunity to interact with our speakers during the round-table discussions, and at the closing cocktail reception.
