The Culture and Travel Club of the Alumni Association is organizing a new trip in 2023!

1 – Trip profile (essential aspects):

Departure: Paris on May 24, 2023 on a regular flight – Return: Paris on June 4, 2023

The visits  :

D1: Paris => Osaka

D2: Osaka: Visit the Umeda Sky skyscraper, Osaka Castle and the hectic Dotonbori Street

D3: Osaka/Mount Koya: visit of Kongobu-Ji and the Okuno-In cemetery, dinner and overnight at the Rengejoin Monastery

D4: Mount Koya/Mount Shigi/Nara: discovery of Mount Shigi, visit of the Todai-ji temple, and the Kasuga-Taisha shrine in Nara, discovery of the Naramachi district

D5: Nara/Kyoto: visit of the city of Kyoto, Kinkaku-Ji and Ryon-Ji temples, Nishiki market, visit of Nijo castle, visit of the Gion district and its Geisha

D6: Kyoto: visit of Ginkaku-Ji or Silver Pavilion, walk on the path of the philosophers, visit of the Kiyomizu-Dera temple, discovery of the Higashiyama district, visit of the Kodai-Ji temple, tea ceremony in a private temple

D7: Kyoto/Hikone/Kanazawa: visit of Hikone Castle, drive to Kanazawa

D8: Kanazawa: Visit of the city, the Kenrokuen garden, discovery of the Higashi-Chaya district and Nagamachi, visit of the Shima house

D9: Kanazawa/Shirakawago/Takayama: discovery of the village of Shirakawago, visit of the Gassho Zukuri Minkaen site, ascent to the Belvedere of Shiroyama, discovery of the city of Takayama, visit of the Takayam Jinya, walk in the Sannomachi, visit of a brewery of sake and a washi factory, night in a Ryokan with free access to the onsen

D10: Takayama (train)/Nagoya (train)/Hakone: express train journey to Hakone, cruise on Lake Ashi, cable car to Owakudani, dinner and overnight in a Ryokan with a private onsen

D11: Hakone/Tokyo: city tour, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Harajuku Temple, Shinjuku Twin Towers Observatory, discovery of Omotesando Avenue

D12: Tokyo => Paris: visit of the old Asakusa district, the Senso-Ji temple and the Hamarikyu garden, flight to Paris

Basic trip: 30 people – Price: 3460 €

English-speaking guide for the entire duration of the stay

1st category hotels, local standards, in a double room

Full board from lunch on day 2 to breakfast on day 13, drinks included, 1 bottle of water/day/person on the coach

Domestic travel (air-conditioned coach), visits, excursions included

Airport taxes and fuel increases included

Insurance Assistance, repatriation, Covid medical, cancellation, luggage, interruption of stay

Valid passport, Visa (+23€ to be confirmed according to the Japanese authorities)

Registrations retained in the order of receipt of the reservation checks no later than November 1, 2022 (≈ 30% of the total amount of the trip / person): i.e. €1050
