AAE conference on aircraft white trails and their effects

After a break of several months, the Air and Space Academy (AAE) conferences in the Paris region resume. They will still take place in person at the Cité des Sciences at Porte de la Villette, and will be relayed on Youtube in parallel.

The first one is scheduled for Thursday June 13, from 2.30pm to around 5pm. Michel Desaulty from Safran and Daniel Cariolle from Météo-France, both members of the Académie de l'Air et de l'Espace, will talk about "aircraft white trails". The first part will be devoted to the origin of this phenomenon and its impact on the climate; the second will deal with its composition and interactions with the atmosphere.

Admission to the Cité des Sciences is free and no reservation is required.
