James Webb Space Observatory: Ariane 5 adaptation challenges and first scientific breakthroughs

The James Webb Space Telescope is the largest and most powerful telescope ever launched into space. It follows in the footsteps of the Hubble Space Telescope as the next great scientific space observatory, designed to answer the most fundamental questions about the Universe and make revolutionary discoveries in all fields of astronomy. It was launched by the European Ariane 5 rocket, specifically adapted for this exceptional satellite, on December 25, 2021.
