Deaths - Death of Jeanne LABURTHE

The IAE SUPAERO ENSICA alumni association has learned of the death of Jeanne LABURTHE on March 8 at the age of 93.

It was in the summer of 1970, when SUPAERO moved to Toulouse, that Jeanne LABURTHE took charge of the documentation center. Discreet, caring and highly respectful of an exceptional scientific environment, she held this position until her retirement in 1988.

At the service of engineering students and researchers, Madame LABURTHE was always keen to integrate "the library" into all the École's teaching activities, and above all to make it available to everyone, without exception.

Madame LABURTHE was buried in Tarbes. In sympathy with her, her family wished neither flowers nor wreaths; they encouraged donations to associations, once again for research, an appeal we gladly relayed.

The Association joins the School's management in offering its condolences to the family of the deceased, and to her son-in-law Jean-Louis MARC (SUPAERO 1975). The Association pays tribute to the memory of the staff who loved and supported this School for decades.
