PROGRAM

• THURSDAY 04/12: Goalball initiation (3pm-6pm at the small gymnasium).

3 sessions of 1h at the small gym (15h-18h) to discover this Paralympic sport.

• MONDAY 08/12: Telethon conference (6pm in Amphi 2).

Attend a fascinating conference with Marie-Christine Ouillade, administrator of the AFM-Téléthon, and Morgan Gazzola, a researcher directly supported by the Telethon, who will present his work on advances in research.

• WEDNESDAY 10/12: Cake sale, Open Airlines company stand & Philharmonie concert.

Come and buy a delicious slice of cake! The event is organized in partnership with Open Airlines, and will be enlivened by a concert from the Philharmonie. Would you like to help? Click here and bake a cake for us to sell.

• THURSDAY 11/12: E-Sport, Poker & Board Games Tournament Evening - 8pm at the MDE to round off the week in style.

Telethon? What is it?

The Telethon is a major national mobilization organized every year to support research into rare genetic diseases and improve the quality of life of those affected.

The donations collected allow :

• Fund cutting-edge research programs.
• Develop innovative therapies (gene therapy, cell therapy, etc.).
• Support families through the work of AFM-Téléthon.

Every contribution, however symbolic, has a real impact: it helps transform lives. You probably know the Telethon from the marathon televised on France TV, but many other events take place all over France... and of course here, at ISAE-SUPAERO!

💛 Why give? 💛

Thanks to donations, the Telethon has already won many victories:

• 2000: 1st victory for gene therapy for "bubble babies".
• 2009-2010: Gene therapy proves its effectiveness in the rare brain disease, X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (MA obtained in 2021), and a blood disease, beta-thalassemia.
• 2015 : World's first heart stem cell transplant.
• 2022 : Long-term efficacy of gene therapy confirmed for Wiscott-Aldrich syndrome.

But the fight goes on! 95% of rare diseases remain untreated, and every victory won today is a promise for tomorrow.
